The Role

We are looking for a researcher to work on frontier generative AI problems to accelerate scientific discovery, our understanding of the universe, and solve climate change. This is a hybrid role with 2 to 3 days in the lab in Princeton, NJ.

You will be the first AI researcher at our synthesis and testing facility in Princeton, NJ. From there you’ll work closely with the London, UK computational group to develop new AI-powered tools to accelerate experimental progress in material discovery and technology development.

This role will develop LLM-based scientists to engineer materials at the atomic scale. You will develop LLM agents to connect and leverage diverse knowledge sources and computational capabilities - from our proprietary generative foundation model LINUS, high throughput DFT and molecular simulations, to human chemical intuition and experimental data, testing the boundaries of chemical reasoning in LLMs. Sitting at the centre of our interdisciplinary research team, you will be uniquely placed to guide the development of a new, AI-powered methodology for rapidly scaling crucial technologies for the energy transition.
